Formed in the pre-covid world, on the mean streets of Indianapolis, Indiana, Southbound Beretta was born. Anything but your grandma’s rock band, Southbound Beretta is bringing back no-nonsense rock and roll and joining the rebirth of the genre. Drawing inspiration from bands such as Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, Pantera, Metallica, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, they have managed to fuse all of the best elements of hard rock instrumentation and progressive metal melodies while mixing in the timeless soul of classic rock.
Comprised of a group of three bad men with an insatiable craving to help usher in the new era of Hard Rock n Roll, Casey Beasley (Vocals+Bass) LJ Schillinger (Lead Guitar) and Brad Brooke (Drums); Southbound Beretta is more than a band, but a brotherhood. Nominated for ‘Best New Artist’ by The Punk Rock Night Awards in 2023 the band has already gotten some impressive performances under their belt. They were invited to tour with Yngwie Malmsteen and Glenn Hughes in the summer of 2023 in addition to performing at two of the nation’s largest rock music festivals, Inkcarceration and Blue Ridge Rock Festival, with a 3rd at Upheaval Festival in 2024. Southbound Beretta is quickly making waves and their sound is beginning to sweep across the nation.
In March of 2020, the band released their first single ‘Southbound’. Following the success of the self-titled track, they released their debut album ‘Under Fire’ in October of 2021 and a handful of singles in 2022. The year of 2023 saw a handful of lineup changes for the band. In early 2023 they added LJ to the lineup. Midway and later on through the year long time Bassist and Drummer Casey Birely and Cody Apple stepped down and were replaced by Beasley and Brad Brooke. The final lineup change came in March 2024. Founder and Vocalist Mike Brennan left the band and opened up a space for Beasley to step in on Vocals and continue Southbound onward as a sonically explosive three piece. The newest EP "Unstoppable" foreshadows the expectations and ambitions of the band. It hit all streaming platforms coinciding with Mike's departure and as of the first week of April is at a total of 200,000 Streams with singles such as Two For One, Pedal to The Metal, and Scotty Found Out.

A live music video for our track 'Pedal to the Metal'. All footage was shot from our run with Yngwie Malmsteen and Glenn Hughes in August of 2023.
This track is a follow-up to the classic 'Scotty Doesn't Know'. The guys had always felt bad about Scotty's situation, so they wrote a song where he gets his revenge.
Name on a Bullet live at the Inkarceration 2023 campground set.
The gig started fairly quickly after they let the crowd in – there was a band on before the co-headliners – Southbound Beretta, from Indianapolis, IN. Young guys, not a southern rock or country band as the name suggests, but full-on, blasting, loud, raw heavy rock. Motorhead springs to mind. Two guitars, bass, solid drummer. One of the guitar player sings, and his voice invokes maybe a cross between Lemmy and Blackfoot’s Rickey Medlocke. An odd band to see in a seated venue, these guys should be playing loud in a sweaty bar with cheap beer and whiskey.
“Scotty Found Out” has influences from the likes of Metallica and Pantera. All while pairing that with more classic elements for fans of Thin Lizzy, AC/DC and classic sounding rock groups. Lyrically, the song is a poetically simple follow up to the classic “Scotty Doesn’t Know”. For any empaths out there, this song completes the story from Scotty’s perspective and it turns out he was never really all too worried about Fiona’s infidelity.
Southbound Beretta are Rock through and through and their new album cements their place in the Rock world. "9 to 5" is a two minute instrumental intro track to get the album started on a Hard Rock note. "Southbound" takes a bit to get going but once it puts the pedal to the metal, it creates a whirlwind of throwback Rock that's both catchy and hard hitting with its grooves. "Drive" brings to mind the later efforts of Fight Paris and their flair.
